There are definitely different types of growth. Growth can be defined as expansion of power or ability. An increasing tenacity to act and achieve successfully. Some growth could be qualified as beneficial. To earn this classification the growth must perform efficiently, that is, improve ultimate results without damaging the system that achieves results. Most people believe a thing qualifies as growth by merely meeting the first part of that qualification, that results seem measurably improved, however fail to realize that growth is generic in nature, and what seems perceptually according all available channels to be growth, can just as easily be either malignant or cancerous. That is to say simply, growth is not always beneficial, especially when the scale is large and the measurement of success is dollars. Dollars are a counter intuitive measurement of success. Many corporations simply cheat and mislead the public inadvertently making everyone stupider, or cheat by using various chemical solutions to problems that end up destroying species that have survived longer than we have as a species. Sure the economy looks like its doing good, but economic success is not a measurement of growth, and economic growth is just as easily a measure of failure as success. The economy could do very well up until the point that the suns rays are blocked from the earth (or worse yet, the opposite) and life ceases to exist here, except at that time whatever seemed to work obviously never actually worked for us, but rather was against us all along, and people were too stupid to recognize this, that they were hurting themselves more than helping, as easy as the decisions seemed. The easier the decision seems the less likely it should be taken lightly. The failure of humanity is not that we fail to achieve genuine growth, but that we fail to achieve genuine growth on every level. That there exist levels where growth is measured incorrectly, that is, via dollar signs, the reality could be that our ability to exist and persist as a species is in fact shrinking. The value of existing is lost on some beyond the span of their lifetimes. This means that growth is measured short of nearsightedly. The advancement is seen as advancement but in fact it may be inhibiting more growth than it is producing, even though it is producing dollar signs today, the chances of it producing dollar signs tomorrow are in fact diminished via crushing and ignoring that which actually fascinates natural growth! Its like forcing growth, and measuring success by the size of the ball of cancer that develops, and acting like this is somehow success that is being measured. This is not in fact the case. Any corporation that measures their growth indirectly by how much they damage the environment (dollars made via damaging the environment) is not only ripping the future out from under themselves, but also ripping the future (and dollars) out of the hands of everyone else! There is no cause for supporting such industries that gamble the future to make a profit today. Being rich today actually has very little value in this world compared with being rich in a richer future. There is little if any practical value to being rich today, since there is almost nothing in this worth that you can spend your money on that doesn’t serve to destroy the future of this world anymore. I challenge anyone to think of examples of spending that do not in some way inhibit future growth, in spite of short term gain within your life span. Several examples include Financial Bailouts of industries that either pollute (auto) or cannot be sustained (federal reserve) since an exponential increasing supply of money almost guarantees that none of it will have any value when it collapses. Bailouts in general mortgage future generations counting on them to solve impossibly hard problems of today, but this strategy will never work without exponentially increasing education as well, and as we all know too well there is some practical limit of advancement that can be achieved given the relatively fixed time frame that is a lifetime. Most things are more important than being successful in this lifetime since being what people qualify as success in this life time is generally in fact being one of the largest looser failures in the world, manipulating every precious resource out of the grasp of the future to make a quick dollar today, dollars which will have no value in the future since nothing will be left of any value in the world. We have more today than we will ever have in the future if we keep letting people make poor decisions spending money & resources, and the only way people will make the only correct decisions to guarantee they aren’t perusing malignant or cancerous growth is if they are far smarter than today on every level of action they take and dream they hope to achieve. It takes a smart person to recognize and support the right thing in the sea of misconception that is what we consider social framework of today. I recognize that not only could this be so much more than it is, but also that it should not be the way that it is, because its not good for anyone, even if it seems like it is right now. Overpopulation is perhaps the number one cause of insustainability we have today, knowing full well that most corporations view overpopulation as the only way to increase demand for their worthless products we wouldn’t even need if there was a sustainable level of population in the first place. If you think the greedy rich and powerful aren’t poised to run this earth and country and life itself into the ground, you are mistaken. Life is so much greater than us, and so much greater than any of these powerful people who have tricked you into earning your trust. Be wise what you spend your money on because you may very well be investing in your own end even if it seems like you live another day, your children may not, and may be even more confused about it than you are now. Please support what can change the world in a truly positive sense and ditch what can not, because as nice as things seem sometimes, our situation here on earth is dire and closer to an end than anyone thinks, and whatever can increase awareness of this fact is more likely than not all that matters in this world. I hope to do everything I can to compete against all the money in the world. I performed further serious scientific study more with my Fresnel lens today. After I stopped my head hurt a little bit from all the xtreme brightness. I always wear eye protection but its not quite enough. I recommend welding goggles to anyone who gets serious with the concept of light amplification, and even those probably aren’t enough at the levels I’d like to get to. In any case I continued to melt rocks of various sorts which created all kinds of interesting fumes and various scorching effects.

I also just realized wordpress completely sux at HTML! Why should I have to hack the engine so that it doesn’t insert line breaks and paragraphs in my HTML! Code on one big line is the only way to make it work… or the comment hack…. although I bet it still puts newlines inside the commented area, lol… also no photo next previous browser…. so enjoy a zillion tabs (middle click)

I’d like to proudly report that I’m just now aware that VidzBigger earned its first cent! I’m not exactly sure when this happen but someone clicked some adsense they were interested in at some point in the month of may. I couldn’t be more pleased to finally see it amount to something I can eat (well, once I reach the payment threshold lol)!

Sorry for not updating in a while! I know there have been a few bug reports and I know what I’m going to do to address the issues. I’m still trying to get my regular work done so I can pay my bills this month. Once I get back to cable internet I’ll be able to test and update stuff productively without starving (not that you need worry about me before yourself). Today I melted some rock with a Fresnel lens that I got for xmas last year it was cool, the rock I selected actually glowed red hot at the point the sun hit, melted completely, and the spot turned to a black glass like coating. The entire rock was impossibly hot to the touch. I was impressed considering its just a 14×14 or so lens. I focused it better today than ever before which has something to do with the intense amount of heat generated, enough to turn the rock molten is more than I’ve seen before, I was impressed! Time of day may have had something to do with it sun was very high in the sky. The rock was making popping noises like crazy which I am still trying to explain (as moisture escaping is the only explanation I’ve heard but I don’t believe either). The rock I believe was found in what is standard order of what I know as “crusher run” rock that was in my driveway which packs hard since it is full of clay like tiny particles along with larger gravel which is what I selected to toast this time. I’m visiting home but I’ll be back sometime next week in full force.

Right now the easiest way to disable VidzBigger for a particular site is to go under Greasemonkey Script Management and remove the include for that site after clicking VidzBigger, or add an exclude for that site. That will stick until you update. I agree there should be a simple way to “disable for this site” checkbox. I plan on including that in a future release for some time.
For the inverted color scheme, some people like certain other pages such as their search results, the homepage, ect dimmed. I agree it makes some pages annoying though, since some have bugs that need to be fixed, and some things are unreadable unless selected. You can exclude any user account pages using excludes as above but if you do anything elaborate you’ll want to back up your excludes before upgrading! * matches anything so you might exclude something like http://www.youtube.com/my*
If you find a particular exclude fixes a ton of pages without disrupting the homepage/search result/video pages being inverted then I’ll definitely include it in updates myself! Just let me know. Thanks for your suggestions!

There are some bugs I want to fix, since the video does not load as HD unless the link is flagged with the HD before you click it. I want to enforce HD on page visit instead of depending on the links being correct. This should fix all issues with HD and is probably the simplest solution.
From the YouTube MyVideos page right now, the videos are flagged as HD when available but the link does not work because these are loaded with a youtube JavasScript call. Instead of loading the link HREF which is set to the &fmt=22 link and should display HD, the onclick even fires which loads the page without &fmt=22. I need to either remove the onclick events from these locations, or try the other method of enforcing HD on load instead of relying on the links being loaded normally. The problem partially boils down to a youtube bug which still exists I think, where if you put fmt=22 and there is no fmt 22 but there is an fmt 18, you get an fmt 6 even though you requested HD…. which means I’ve had to check to see if fmt 22 is available or not before appending fmt 18 to all links. When you are signed in the preferences under account setting should give you the HD version all the time so if thats not working, this might be something to report to youtube unless you only notice the problem while VidzBigger is enabled. The youtube HD settings are relatively new feature still and probably only work from certain places.
If you mouse over a link and the status bar at the bottom says fmt22 but when you click it the URL bar does not say fmt22, javascript was used to load something different than the link’s href.
Fullscreen mode changes wmode of the flash object to transparent! This is required to detect mouse clicks (and to scroll when mouse is over video). This is much more CPU intensive, and since dbl click fullscreen requires this, and its even more pixels, its even more intensive.

The flip=1 was accidental! I should have explained there is a checkbox in preferences (under display - Link to Fliped Videos (on links, after reload)) that you can uncheck to fix the flipping issue! About:config is another way to fix the issue search for the script name. On April 1st a version of the script was released that had flipvideo=true as default! Since this was the first time that value was included, if you installed that version, that became your default value until unchecking the box! I’m sure your not the only person effected by this. It was included accidentally, I was thinking about making filp=true default on april fools only but I thought that would be silly since most people don’t prefer flipped videos that I know of yet and failed to flip the true to a false or upgrade the script the next day because I didn’t realize it was flipped for everyone! I also didn’t really inform anyone about this or I could have brutally enforced a disable flip to happen one time even if people wanted it enabled, but I didn’t do that either, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this caused anyone!

Make a living creating userscripts? Is this even possible to achieve? How long does it take to get started? How many scripts must one create to pull it off? Does one really good script do the trick, or does it take more than one. Does anyone pay for userscripts besides those who develop them? The open source nature of user scripts is wonderful for the community in many ways, however why is it that open source things are seen as free for the taking? I mean they are, of course, but nothing in this world comes without some price. At what point to the benefits outweigh an arbitrary cost. All I can say is I’m impressed the community pulls off for society what it does given the little resources it has! So much time being saved is tons of money saved, even for corporations whose employees use usercripts! So many innovative things come out of userscripts that the corporate world then copies and profits from. How can one come to terms with giving away what is worth untold value to the world, without being cheated in the process and left with nothing? How is it that we decide these choices? Its not for a lack of caring, but a lack of certainty of outcomes, and a lack of trust in the value that other people will place on it as cast around the globe. If even better software comes back, that’s great in a way in and of itself, but not if they profit more with a blatant copy. Why would anyone pay for something they didn’t have to pay for when they could just click Install. How is it that an extension is marketable but a user script is not? The one thing that’s certain, I’m not blaming the economy. My quest still as it would seem, perilous, but as of yet intrigued at how easy Its all coming together in some respects, and how difficult in others!
